Create storyline posts with images and videos

You can attach and record videos and images to your storyline posts through Viva Engage web and mobile versions, and through the Viva Engage app in Teams.

The command bar in the publisher offers features to enrich your storyline posts with rich media. Use the Add photo or video feature to browse and attach rich media. You can also select Record a video to add new video or audio content into your storyline.

Selecting Record a video opens a camera that offers features to blur or add custom backgrounds, annotate the video with ink, text, and stickers, and perform tasks such as converting a clip to an animated GIF. Select Review on the bottom right to edit your video clip to trim, split and reorder sections of the clip, add music files to the video timeline (which does not affect the existing audio that's tied to the video clip), and add other video clips to your video.

Editing tools are at the bottom middle of the clip page, including Trim, Split, and Add music.

Choose the layout of your storyline posts with an image or a video

When you create a new post on your storyline and attach a single image or video, selecting Post opens a layout selector where you can place the video (or image) above or below the text.

The video or image is preselected when the post has less than 200 characters. Otherwise, the text is preselected. In posts without text, the video (or image) uses the layout shown here.
