Connect a row to a project

Select Add row.

Add a title and choose an owner.

Select Connect to a project, then Project.

Select a project from the list. If you don't see it, and it's a Project Online project, see "Connect a row to a project in Project Online".

Select Connect.

Add items to your row by selecting the check boxes next to them. Find tasks by using Search or Filter. Or use Quick select to select the check boxes for All milestones, All summary tasks, or All top level tasks.
The start and end dates for these items will stay in sync with Project, but you can change the name and status in the roadmap to fit your purposes.
Connect a row to a project in Project Online

To connect a row to Project, select Add row.

Add a title and choose an owner.

Select Connect to a project, then Project.

Select Manually import your project.

Type or verify your Project Web App URL by selecting the check mark.
: If a URL doesn’t appear, find your Project Web App URL by going to Project Home and at the bottom of the page selecting Go to Project Web App. When the Project Web App page opens, copy its URL. Then go back to Roadmap and paste the URL in the Project Web App URL box.

Type a project name in the box, and then select it from the list.

Select Connect.

To add items, type some text in the Search for items to add box, select the phases or key dates you want to show in your roadmap, and then select Add.
The start and end dates for these items will stay in sync with Project Online, but you can change the name and status in the roadmap to fit your purposes.
