Step 1: Sign out on our PC

  1. Open Phone Link on your PC.

  2. Go to Settings > Devices.

  3. Find the Microsoft account signed into Phone Link .

  4. Tap Sign out.

  5. Once complete, proceed to Step 2 to unlink your Android device.

Step 2: Sign out of Link to Windows on your Android and Surface Duo devices

Start by checking which mobile app your Android device has. Refer to this list to see if your device supports Link to Windows (pre-installed). If your device is not in this list, skip to the next section. 

If you have the Link to Windows  (pre-installed) app on your Android device:

  1. Go to Settings > Connected Devices > Link to Windows > About Link to Windows.

    or

    Swipe downwards from the top of your screen to reveal Quick Panel, and then select Link to Windows 

  2. Click your Microsoft account. 

  3. Scroll down to Link to Windows  where you will see your previously used Microsoft account and email address.

  4. Click Remove account.

If you have Link to Windows  on your Surface Duo:

  1. Open the Link to Windows app by going into the Quick Access panel, and then tap and hold the Link to Windows  icon.

  2. Tap Account, and then tap the email address.

  3. Scroll down to Your account - Link to Windows ​​​​​​​, and then click the email address.

  4. Click Remove account.

 If you have Link to Windows  (downloaded) on other select Android devices:

  1. On your select Android device, open the Link to Windows app.

  2. In the upper right-hand corner, tap the Settings icon.

  3. Tap Accounts.

  4. Find the Microsoft account, and then tap Sign out.

Note: After signing out of Link to Windows and Phone Link, your devices will be removed. If you 'd like to use these devices again with Phone Link ​​​​​​​ and Link to Windows, you will need to sign in to Link to Windows ​​​​​​​ with the same account and go through the pairing process on Phone Link  once more.
