How to rotate single assets on the editing timeline

You can rotate any visual asset that appears in the timeline 360 degrees. Follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the media asset you want to rotate on the timeline so it's highlighted.

  2. The freehand rotation tool will appear under the preview video on the stage. Click on the rotate tool.

  3. Move your curser around to rotate your asset up to 360 degrees.

You can also use the rotate button in the floating toolbar: 

  1. Click on the media asset you want to rotate on the timeline so it's highlighted.

  2. To rotate your asset in set 90 degree increments, click on the three dots on the floating toolbar above the preview video.

  3. Click on the rotate by 90 degrees button until it's rotated to the desired orientation.

How to rotate multiple assets at the same time

To rotate multiple assets at once, use the multi-item editing tool.

  1. Hold down the control (Windows) or command (Mac) key.

  2. Click on the assets on the timeline that you would like to rotate.

  3. Use the rotate tool to rotate all assets selected.

How to undo a rotation change

You can return the media asset to its original orientation at any time.

  1. Click on the asset on the timeline so it's highlighted.

  2. Press control + Z (Windows) or command + Z (Mac) on your keyboard to undo.
