Link Surface Duo to your PC
Applies ToSurface Duo Surface Surface Duo 2

We’ve changed the name of the Your Phone app to Microsoft Phone Link. In addition, the Your Phone Companion app for Android is now called Link to Windows. For more information, see Introducing Microsoft Phone Link and Link to Windows.

Get calls, text messages, notifications, photos and more on your Windows 10/11 PC. Just use the Link to Windows app that’s built into Surface Duo, and the Phone Link app on your PC.

To link your Surface Duo to your PC using the Phone Link app, your PC needs to be running the Windows 10 May 2019 Update (or later) or Windows 11.

  1. On your Surface Duo, swipe down from the top of the screen to see quick settings, then swipe down again to expand them.

  2. Tap Link to Windows.

If you can't find the Link to Windows icon, you may have hidden it in the past. Tap Edit , locate Link to Windows in Hold and drag to add tiles, and drag it up into the visible section above it. Tap Back  to leave edit mode and now you can tap it.

  3. Sign in with your Microsoft account.

Make sure you use the same Microsoft account on both your Surface Duo and your Windows 10/11 PC.

  4. On the Set up Phone Link on your PC screen, tap My PC is ready.

  5. On your Windows 10/11 PC, open the Phone Link app, then select Send notification to get final permission.

  6. On your Surface Duo, select Allow when you get the notification to finish connecting.

Now you can get calls, texts, notifications, photos, and more in the Phone Link app on your PC.
