OneNote for Android has widgets for creating a new note, audio note, or picture note—without opening OneNote. Widgets are small apps that allow you to view or add information to other apps you have installed on your phone.
Widgets can be quickly added to any of your Home screens.

Press and hold a blank space on one of your Android phone’s Home screens. A small screen will appear showing images of your phone's Home screens.
If you're using an older Android phone, a menu may appear where you can tap Apps and widgets.

At the bottom of the Home screen images, tap Add widgets.

Flick down to the OneNote widgets and tap OneNote audio note, OneNote new note, or OneNote picture note.
Tip: Tap the Search widgets box at the top, and then search for "onenote".

Tap the widget to add it to the Home screen.

Once the widget has been added to a Home screen, tap it to add an audio note, new note, or picture to OneNote.
Note: To remove the widget, press and hold the widget until you see a small menu, and then tap Remove.
