Use your keyboard and a screen reader to use your phone for audio in a Microsoft Teams meeting or live event. We have tested it with JAWS and NVDA, but it might work with other screen readers as long as they follow common accessibility standards and techniques. You can have the audio of a meeting or live event played back through your phone while your device screen continues to show the visual content.

Recent versions of JAWS no longer have the virtual PC cursor mode set as default for Microsoft Teams. For instructions on how to switch the virtual PC cursor mode on, go to Enable the JAWS virtual cursor.

To quickly access the keyboard shortcuts list from within Microsoft Teams, press Ctrl+E, type the forward slash character followed by the word keys, and then press Enter.
Use phone audio in a Teams meeting or live event

Open the Microsoft Teams meeting or live event you wish to join.

Press the Tab key until you hear "Other join options, tool bar," then press the Right arrow key until you hear "Join with phone audio," and press Enter.

Press the Tab key until you hear "Enter your number, edit." Type your phone number, then press the Tab key until you hear "Call me." Press Enter to have the Microsoft Teams meeting service call you.

Answer your phone and follow the guidance given to you by the Microsoft Teams meeting service in order to be redirected to the meeting.
