What needs your attention
might appear when attempting a Windows upgrade. This notification message might be an indication that the Windows device has a compatibility issue with the newer version of Windows. The compatibility issue might be with one of the following components:

Driver.
-
Hardware.
-
App.
-
Windows feature.
These compatibility issues can lead to an unexpected experience. For this reason, the Windows upgrade isn't offered.
The following are the most common messages and possible ways of fixing them:
No action is needed

This message is intentional. Windows Update upgrade encountered a known issue with the Windows upgrade on the current Windows device. Nothing needs to be done.

Microsoft recommends staying on the current version of Windows.

Windows Update automatically offers the Windows upgrade if the issue is eventually resolved.
Flight signing

An attempt is being made to install a pre-release copy of Windows. Either Join the Windows Insider Program or to allow the Windows device to trust Insider builds, select the Enable button.
Incompatible privacy settings

This issue can be resolved by changing privacy settings. To learn more, see Change privacy settings in Windows.
Incompatible app
The following are actions that can be taken to fix incompatible apps:

Update the app.
Make sure the Windows device is connected to the internet and then select the Learn more or update instead link to visit an article explaining the compatibility issue. The article directs to the software provider's website where the app can be updated to a version that's compatible with the latest version of Windows. After the app is updated, return to the What needs your attention message and selectRefresh. The Windows upgrade can proceed if there are no additional compatibility issues. -
Automatically uninstall the app.
If the app isn't needed, select the Uninstall button to automatically uninstall it. After the app is removed, the page should automatically refresh. The Windows upgrade can proceed if there are no additional compatibility issues. -
Manually uninstall the app.Repair apps and programs in Windows. However, if there are any difficulties with manually uninstalling the app, contact support. After the app is removed, return to the What needs your attention message and select Refresh. The Windows upgrade can proceed if there are no additional compatibility issues.
In some cases, the app can't be updated or automatically uninstalled. In this case, the app needs to be manually uninstalled. You can try the steps in the article

Microsoft recommends not proceeding with the Windows upgrade on Windows devices that don't meet the minimum system requirements to upgrade.
