Phone Link connects your smartphone to your Windows PC, letting you easily access notifications, messages, calls, and files right from your computer. This integration helps streamline multitasking, helping you stay productive without switching between devices.

Requirements to link your Android device with a windows device
To use Phone Link, you need:
-
Either a PC is running with Windows 10 (with the May 2019 Update or later) or Windows 11.
-
We recommend using an Android device running Android 8.0 or later. For the best compatibility and performance, we highly recommend using Android 10 or newer.
-
You must connect both your phone and your PC to the same Wi-Fi network.

Link your Android device
Phone Link connects your Android device to your Windows PC, making it simple to manage notifications, messages, calls, and photos all in one place. It helps boost productivity by reducing distractions and allowing you to multitask smoothly across devices.
The Link to Windows app is either preinstalled on your device or can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy Store.
Follow these steps to open the Phone Link app on your PC:

Press the Windows logo key and type “Phone Link.” Press Enter to open the Phone Link window.

Use the Tab key until you hear the “Android trademark symbol button,” and then press Enter to open the pairing options.

Sign in with your Microsoft account scan the QR code to link your Android device.
Use the QR code to link your Android device
Follow these steps to scan the QR code and link your device:
-
Open the Scanner app on your Android device and scan the QR code available on the PC.
Note: If your Android device doesn’t have an in-built scanner app, you need to download one from the Play Store.

After scanning the QR code, Flick right to select the Open in browser button and double-tap on it.
Note: After three minutes, the QR code on your PC will expire. If it expires, restart the Phone Link app and try again.

Flick right until you hear “Install button,” and then double-tap to install the Link to windows app on your device.

Type the password for the linked account, flick to the sign-in button, and double-tap to complete the sign-in process.

On your PC, type the code, flick to select the Continue button, then double-tap on it.

To complete the device linking process, allow the required permissions.

You have now paired the Phone Link app with your Android device. Use Tab to select the Continue button on your PC, then press Enter.

Press the Tab key until you hear “Get started button,” then press Enter. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Manually link your Android device, without a QR code
To connect your Android device manually to the Phone Link app, follow these steps:

On your Android device, flick right through the home screen until you hear “Edge,” and then double-tap to open the browser.

Flick right until you hear "Search or type web address edit field," type "aka.ms/linkPC," then flick right to select "Go" and double-tap.

When prompted, flick right to select the Continue button to begin downloading the Link to Windows app.

On the app screen, flick right until you hear “Continue button,” then double-tap to view the instructions.

Sign in with your Microsoft account and type the code shown on your PC, flick to select the Continue button, and double-tap on it.

Your device has successfully paired with the Phone Link app. Use the Tab key to select the "Continue button," and then press Enter.
Unlink your Android device from the Link to Windows app
To remove a device from the Link to Windows app, follow these steps:

Open the Link to Windows app on your device.

Flick right to select the Settings button and double-tap to activate it.

Flick right to select the linked account on your device and double-tap the screen.
-
Flick right until you hear “Sign out and unlink account,” then double-tap the screen.

Flick right to select the UNLINK button and double-tap to unlink your Microsoft account and remove all connected devices.

Use a QR code to link your iOS device
Follow these steps to scan the QR code and link your device:

On your iOS device, flick down from the top-right corner to open Control Center, and then flick right until you hear “Scan code button,” and then double-tap to open the QR code scanner.

After scanning the QR code on the PC with your iOS device, VoiceOver will announce, "Pair your devices." Flick right to select the Open button and double-tap on it.

Make sure your iOS device and PC have Bluetooth enabled.

After three minutes, the QR code on your PC will expire. If it expires, restart the Phone Link app and try again.

To initiate the Bluetooth pairing request, flick right until you hear the “Continue button” and then double-tap.

Flick right until you hear the “Pair button,” and then double-tap to start pairing.
To confirm the pairing request, follow these steps:

On the Phone Link app on your PC, use the Tab key to select the Pair button and press Enter.

Use the Tab key to select the Continue button and press Enter.

Manually link your iOS device, without a QR code
To connect your iOS device manually to the Phone Link app, follow these steps:

Unlink your iOS device from the Phone Link app
To remove a device from the Phone Link app, follow these steps:

Press the Windows logo key and type “Phone Link.” Press Enter to open the phone link window.

Navigate using the Tab key to select Settings and press Enter.

Use the Tab key to select General and then press the Down arrow key to select Devices and press Enter.

Use Tab until you hear the “More options button,” and then press Enter to open the context menu and select Remove.

Use the Tab key until you hear “I understand removing this device means I’m resetting Phone Link on this PC, checkbox,” and press the Spacebar to select the checkbox.

Use the Tabkey to select the Remove device button and press Enter.
