Before you install this update
Prerequisite:
To install any LCU dated January 14, 2025 and later, you must first install the SSU KB5050112. If your device or offline image does not have this SSU, you cannot install LCUs dated January 14, 2025 and later. If you are a WSUS admin, you must approve KB5050112 and KB5050013.
Caution: Until you install the SSU, the security LCU will not be offered to your device. To reduce your security risk, install the SSU as soon as possible.
If you are using Windows Update, the latest SSU (KB5050112) will be offered to you automatically. To get the standalone package for the latest SSU, search for it in the Microsoft Update Catalog.
