ISSUE
When you select text in a classic Outlook email and then use the copy shortcut Ctrl+C, Outlook may hang or freeze.
The issue is primarily seen with the following conditions:

This issue is being reported on Current Channel Version 2409 (Build 18025.20096) or higher.

The issue happens when using languages with an IME (Input Method Editor).
STATUS: FIXED
The Outlook Team implemented a fix for this issue which is available in the following channels and builds.

Beta Channel: Version 2501 (Build 18410.15040) - Released

To work around the issue use either of the following workarounds:

Configure Windows to revert to a previous version of IME. For more information, please go to Revert to a previous version of an IME (Input Method Editor).

Revert Outlook to a build before Version 2409. Use Update History for available builds. For more information, please go to Update history for Microsoft 365 Apps. To revert Office to Version 2408, do the following:

Open a Command Prompt in Administrator context.

Type or paste the two commands into the Command Prompt window and press Enter after each:cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17928.20156
