Tablet mode makes Windows more touch friendly and is helpful on touch capable devices.
Windows 11 doesn't have an option to manually turn tablet mode on or off. Windows 11 instead automatically enables and disables tablet mode on touch capable Windows devices
Windows 11 automatically enables tablet mode in the following scenarios:

When it detects the keyboard is detached from the Windows device.
Note: The keyboard being detached can be either a wired keyboard or a wireless/Bluetooth keyboard.

When the Windows device is converted into a tablet form factor.
Windows 11 automatically disables tablet mode in the following scenarios:

When a keyboard is attached to the Windows device.
Note: The attached keyboard can be either a wired keyboard or a wireless/Bluetooth keyboard.

When the Windows device is converted to a traditional laptop form factor.
Support for Windows 10 will end in October 2025
After October 14, 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10. Your PC will still work, but we recommend moving to Windows 11.
Tablet mode in Windows 10 can be turned on and off from action center. Action center ( or ) can be found next to the time and date on the taskbar.
To turn Tablet mode on and off in action center:

On the taskbar, select the action center icon ( or ).

In action center, select the Tablet mode tile to toggle Tablet mode on and off. If the Tablet mode tile isn't visible, select Expand above the tiles.

If Tablet mode is turned off, the tile isn't highlighted and says Off when tablet mode is first turned off.

If Tablet mode is turned on, the tile is highlighted and says On when tabket mode is first turned on.

If the Tablet mode tile isn't in action center even after selecting Expand, follow these steps to add it:

On the Windows device, right-click on the Start menu and then select Settings > System > Notifications & actions .Open Notifications & actions
Or Select the following Notifications & actions shortcut: -
In the Notifications & actions window, under Quick actions, select Edit your quick actions.

In the side pane that opens, select Add and then select Tablet mode.
Important: If Tablet mode isn't available to add, the Windows device might not be detected as touch capable device.
