Play a Stream video in a video tab

Once a Stream video has been added as a tab to a Microsoft Teams channel, you can play the video straight from the Microsoft Teams channel.

Navigate to and play a Stream video in a channel tab

Once a Stream channel has been added as a tab to a Microsoft Teams channel, you can browse the video content in that Stream channel and play a video without leaving the Microsoft Teams channel.

  1. In the channel with the Microsoft Stream channel tab, press the Tab key until you reach the channel tab row. You might hear for example, "Tab control," followed by the currently selected tab.

  2. Press the Right or Left arrow key until you hear the Microsoft Stream channel tab, and press Enter. The channel tab with video thumbnails opens.

  3. To browse the video thumbnails, press the Tab key. Your screen reader announces the video title, description, and length.

  4. When you hear a video you want to play, press Enter. The video opens in the channel content area and playback starts automatically.

  5. To pause the video, press the Tab key until you hear "Pause," and press Enter. To resume playback, press Enter again.

  6. To exit the video playback view and return to the video thumbnails, press Esc.
